HOME POWER MAGAZINE: PV & Minisplit Heat Pumps—A Case Study
In 2016, we were approached by Ken Baker and Mary McCann-Baker of Norridgewock, Maine to help design a renewable energy system that would minimize their cordwood consumption and help them reach net zero (i.e. that they would be generating as much energy as they consume). As a result, we designed and installed a solar photovoltaic (PV) system and mini-split heat pump. Their total energy costs for the house are $10.65 per month, which represents CMP's minimum monthly charge. This project is featured in the July/August 2018 issue of Home Power magazine and authored by our owner, Vaughan Woodruff. Read more.
